Tourism and environmental sustainability

Pristine natural environments are tourist attractions that also provide environmental services to the local economy. Conversely, pollution may reduce the attractiveness of a tourist destination as well as affect the provision of environmental services to local communities and tourists. UNDP is working on improving the health of the environment in order to support the attractiveness of tourists destination.
