Description of the solution
The "Clean Air" project, part of Russia's national ecological initiatives, aims to significantly reduce air pollution in the largest urban areas by enhancing federal and regional regulations and technological upgrades in industrial centres of the country (tagets a number of cities and regions that host the pollution-intensive production facilities). Incluses such steps as modernization of industrial enterprises and existing boiler houses, conversion of heating in private households from coal to more environmentally friendly fuel, launch of public transport using electricity and NGV fuel.

Improves public health by reducing harmful emissions, potentially decreases healthcare costs, and enhances quality of life in urban areas with stong industrial sector activity
