The Eco-Schools Initiative is an international program that empowers students to become active participants in creating sustainable schools and communities. It encourages schools to integrate environmental education into the curriculum and implement environmentally friendly practices throughout their operations. The program focuses on seven key environmental themes: Water, Energy, Waste, Biodiversity, Health and Well-being, Climate Change, Food Schools participating in the Eco-Schools Initiative follow a seven-step process that guides them through planning, taking action, monitoring progress, and achieving accreditation.
