A DIY device that can be digitally fabricated in any laboratory and used from anybody in the world. It is equipped with a network of sensors, heating element and a fan to recreate the best conditions for growing bacteria cellulose in different locations. The incubator is connected to he network through a WIFI module and allows people to monitor in real time the fermenation process and the growth of the leather and share data.
As a naturally sustainable material, kombucha leather has many advantages. Unlike traditional leather, kombucha leather can be grown with zero waste, in tubs shaped as garment pattern pieces.
