With the aim of helping 1 million marginalised and underrepresented hijra, non-binary, gender queer, transgender and intersex community in Bangladesh, a Dhaka University student founded TransEnd - Bangladesh’s first ever youth-led organization which works to bridge the gap between the transgender community and mainstream community through Education, Training, Healthcare, Employment & Entrepreneurship. - With the help of TransEnd, transgenders Priya and Shuborna are appointed as a Freelance model for Blue Bell - Transgender Shanta got her first paid fashion shoot with the help of TransEnd collaborating with The Bun Girl and Hat on Cat. - Fundraising campaigns have been undertaken for trangenders in Bangladesh during the Covid pandemic Through TransEnd’s non-profit platform, various online and offline sensitization programs, skill-development workshops, and awareness-building campaigns have been conducted through which 345000+ general people have been sensitized, 135+ marginalized transgender (hijra) people got skilled in different subjects e.g. English language, handicrafts, communication, basic computer skills etc. and 93 trans people quit their job as sex-working and joined in mainstream jobs scoped by TransEnd.
