With more people moving to using less cash, the company Mercado pago is promoting a digital payment mode that is aiming to reach more than 50,000 street vendors by 2021. The model started in 2019 and in 2021 it has seen an increase of over 500% and by June 2021 they had about 15,000 street vendors afiliated.
