1. Digital nomadism is a key trend in tourism and work, and there is a need to continue doing research 2. Digital nomads can be an important contributing demographic to tourism 3. Municipality of Las Terrenas: key public sector partner

Las Terrenas is a beach town in the northeastern part of the DR. UNDP has been in close collaboration with the Office of the Mayor and a host of stakeholders who have some level of interest in Las Terrenas. The town's Mayor has given UNDP and the AccLab a green light for conducting the assessment as well as for coming up with potential proposals for making Las Terrenas a more sustainable destination.

Our learning question/frontier challenge is an emerging theme where digital technology play a key role. Innovative methods are needed in order to approach the theme from a more flexible standpoint than using traditional research and project design methods.
