BIG BET
Challenge statement: What is your challenge? (Please answer in specific terms: "Our challenge is that...”.)
With more than 540105 students are scheduled to face the end of year exams in Guinea. From what we know, some schools have stood out with very high admission scores and have therefore created very high reputations locally, while internationally, Guinean diplomas are criticized because of the discredit that the state of corruption imposes on educational institutions. in certain situations, the pupils are replaced by others who are more advanced in their studies, others moreover use teachers against payment in advance or after success, in short, a whole mechanism was put in place to thwart the control device set up. How can an exam management system rely on a general regulation dating from 1997 to address cases of fraud from 2022? can we guarantee reliable results with these regulations when there are extraordinary advances in technology and the behavior of candidates? It is therefore with a view to remedying this quotation that our efforts will be put to use while keeping our label of adviser for the administration, observer for the supervisors and controllers for the correctors once the work is completed.
Background: What is the history of your challenge? What is causing or driving it? Who is involved? How does the current situation look like? What undesired effects does it produce?
Under the first republic, Guinea's education system was one of the most efficient. As proof, it gave birth to several senior executives free from reproach who were the spearhead of the Guinean and African revolution of the 1950s and 1960s. At their side are the many students from the countries of the sub-region in scientific disciplines; in this case, medicine. This has allowed Guinea to gain a very good reputation throughout the world. However, after the fall of the first regime, force was given to liberalism which ended up completely transforming society through an impoverishment of selfish behavior, the race for wealth, the collection of illicit goods, the embezzlement of funds to invest them in other countries, etc. With the result, the abandonment of crucial activities such as education which will follow the collapse of the entire education system. The then marginalized teachers, the overstaffing for poorly maintained schools with few places for new admissions and the teaching profession reduced to the simple fact of transmitting knowledge favor corruption in all its forms; thus inducing fraud at all levels and contributing to the discredit of this system. In view of this situation, the advent of the new authorities remains a great opportunity to be seized to finally correct the errors of the past. And this requires reviewing policies, providing and controlling an adequate infrastructure and, of course, the merciless fight against fraud.
